Hello! My names Brooklyn and I’m currently 19 years old. As of for me, I’m temporarily laid off due to the relocating of the business I work for. That being said it will take till end of august until I’m back at work, meaning I’m fully available! I would love to take this time to babysit and be a helping hand in a family’s life. Now for a little about myself, I enjoy babysitting so much because it comes to an ease with me. I’m the oldest out of 4 siblings so I’ve been watching them since I was around 9. I’ve babysat ever age range from 7 months to 13, and I just recently finished babysitting for a family with a one year old. I’m currently in the midst of a gap year that I took to gain some extra cash and then I’m heading to the U of L in the fall for a biological science degree to achieve my goals of becoming a dentist. When I babysit I make sure the child enjoyed its time while maintaining a goal of creating a strong bond and connection with the child so that there is a level of trust and are willing to be honest and comfortable.

Since I have been watching children from a young age it gave me the advantage of being able to understand behaviours and reaction of a child. While I babysit young children I like to engage in activities that help motor skills and verbal skills, I think it’s important as a babysitter to find fun ways to engage a child’s learning aspect while still having fun!
