I am 19 (f) from the states living in Redcliff with my SO, and would like to start working. I am from Oswego Illinois, and I have been working with children since I was 15. I started teaching swim lessons for British Swim School where I taught kids as young as 6 months, all the way up to adults, as a result I am training in first aid such as infant, child, and adult choking, seizure, and cardiac arrest, I am trained to detect warning signs of stroke and am familiar with different types of seizing in young children due to previous au pair experience. I love having fun with my charges, taking them to parks, backyard sprinklers, arts and crafts, that said I understand when it’s time to help clean up, and get ready for the next part of the day. I am comfortable with NON PHYSICAL discipline that is supported by the parental unit, I am completely physically able and can lift up to 50 lbs comfortably, I love ALL animals (as long as they are friendly) I don’t mind exercising animals, laundry, dishes, vacuuming, mopping. Previously worked as an au pair for a family of 4, two boys ages 11 and 6, both boys where on the spectrum, and the eldest had severe physical disabilities. I prepped food, administered oral and topical medications, drove to and from school and other activities, got them ready for school, and planned fun days and tasks as well as helping mom with around the house chores. This included yard work, caring for two dogs, and two birds. Aside from this I babysat casually, and worked part time as a swim lesson instructor at British Swim School, Illinois. I do not currently hold certifications but i am well versed in CPR, BLS, and AED use on infants, children and adults. I can provide a list of references if needed. I Hold ALL USA drivers license and passport.

My name is Jaylynn, however I go by Jay. I have my HCA certificate and first aide level C, I recently graduated from college in 2017 from the health care aide course. I love caring for people, as it’s been a great part of my life as a job and something I just enjoy doing. I have two loving, funny dogs their names are Jacks and Konah, & recently just got married to my best friend. I’m not originally from Alberta, I’m from a small town in Ontario; where all my family lives still other then my parents and brother. I have grown up in Alberta and love it. I enjoy what Alberta has to offer as far as activities and sceneries. the mountains.. wow. In my health care aide career so far it’s taught me patience, creativity, problem solving and I’m always finding myself learning something new. I am very passionate about my job. In my past I used to babysit quite often and I’m looking to get back into taking care of children because it’s something I’ve really enjoyed. I’ve actually voulenteered in one of the daycares here in town, I loved it. In my past I used to take care of my youngest sibling and would always get called to babysit for other friends and family. I would cook prepared meals; and make meals. I would bath the kids in the evening and prepare snack. I would help out where I was asked too (sweep floors, mop, put laundry away.. ect) anywhere I can help. I would always make sure there was enough time for a little bit of fun of course; instead of TV time I would think of ways to spend our time a little bit more creative such as dance parties were always welcome, reading books, toy time and of course fresh air. I have my health care aide certificate as well as my level C and first aide.

I am an optimistic and cheerful person who likes to make a difference and enable those around me to live their best life. Being an enneagram 2, it’s naturally in me to help and be of assistance. I am attentive to the needs of those around me and numerous times have had families wish I had a clone when I needed to quit my position due to my spouse (at the time) having work that required a family move. I believe children to be an honour to care for and treat them with all the love and attention they need. I was a home support worker for child with special needs plus babysat up to 5 siblings and cooked meals, did laundry and extra chores as needed. This was in the community I grew up in. Spent 2 years at this position and it ended only because my spouse got work elsewhere and we moved Another job was care of 2 children and completely running the entire household as the mom was very ill. This included driving kids to school, and overnights oftentimes when the mom was in hospital. Very fulfilling work. I was pleased to make a significant place of rest and orderliness for them to have as normal a life as possible While various other home support jobs and responsibilities come close to the same work venture as nannying, I’ll stick with a more recent jobs, one family wirh 4 kids and the other with 3 kids, and meal prep and laundry, plus light housekeeping. Stepping up to the plate with whatever was needed.
