I am from a small town in Nova Scotia just outside of Halifax. I grew up with 3 siblings. I was always very interested in art, and did theatre throughout elementary/middle school/high school - also attending and then eventually working at an arts camp/centre in Nova Scotia. I then went on to study theatre at Concordia in Montreal, soon after transferring to NSCAD University in Halifax to pursue film/expanded media. I received my BFA in Expanded Media and Art History this past May. My hobbies include playing instruments, photography, and textile hobbies like sewing and crocheting.

I have 7 years total of childcare experience - beginning with babysitting and being a camp councelor at an arts camp in my hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia. The last three years I have spent as a professional Nanny while finishing my degree in Expanded Media and Art History. I have worked part time during the school months caring for kids aged 3-9 doing weekend babysitting and nighttime nannying. During the summer, I have done 9am-5pm full time care for one child with additional needs, and the following summer I did 9am-5pm full time care for a 3 year old. I love to incorporate art education into my childcare work, as my goal is to become an art teacher.
