My name is Alefiyah and I am student in Montreal. I have been living here for the past 2 years. I grew up in Tanzania where I’m from. I am the oldest child and I have two younger siblings, 2 and 10 years younger than me. I used to care for my little brother after school and in the holiday’s as my mom has always worked full time. I also have volunteered multiple times at hospitals in the paediatric ward. I find it very relaxing to care for young children and I believe that they feel comfortable with me and I can be really patient. I am also perfectly capable of prepping meals and snacks and helping out with chores, cleaning and tidying. I would love a chance to meet a lovely family and be a part of the child’s journey the best I can.

I worked for a family friend about 2 years ago. Her daughter was 15 months at the time and my duties would include, feeding her, helping her mother prepare meals and clean up after. I would also take her out to play/walk, read to her as well as any other things her mother would need help with
