My initial experience working with children started when I was tasked with looking after my siblings at the age of 12. This childhood responsibility ignited a passion for childcare within me that led me to take on babysitting roles and later became a swim instructor at the COBRA Swim Club. In this role, I aided children aged between 5-12 in their swimming development. Other significant roles I held include being an Integration Instructor during the summer at the City of Brampton Summer Camps and as the Waterfront Director at an overnight camp aimed at children, youth, and adults with physical disabilities. I also undertook a placement working in a family shelter's childcare department, looking after newborns and children up to five years old. Currently, I hold a standard first aid and CPR certification for children, youth, and adults, coupled with a lifeguarding qualification. Additionally, I have been trained in ABA and IBA therapy. This diverse experience has honed my ability to handle multiple childcare responsibilities, from basic tasks such as bathing and dressing children, helping with homework, laundry, meal preparations, and light housekeeping, to more specialized tasks such as caring for children with disabilities. I am looking forward to the possibility of working with a family that values my skills, experiences, and the inclusive perspective I bring.

I have worked as a swim instructor starting in 2013 and working my way up to work as a competitive swim coach for children ages 5-12. I worked as an Inclusion/Integration Instructor with the City of Brampton in 2019, as well as my student placement in a community classroom for students with developmental disabilities in 2022. These positions have provided me with experience working with children, teens, and adults with varying exceptionalities such as Down Syndrome, autism, and developmental delays. These experiences have allowed me to gain confidence in working with individuals of various needs and abilities. I have experience working as a Waterfront Director at a camp for children and adults ages 6-36 who have physical disabilities. This position provided me with the opportunity to Organize, lead, and adapt small and large group activities such as crafts, songs, games, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and sailing for children, youth, and adults with physical disabilities. Another main responsibility I was given was to Provide personal care for the campers which includes: feeding, toileting, dressing, and, bathing campers as well as training on electric and manual Hoyer lifts. I have experience working as a nanny for a 12-year-old with autism and a 3-year-old toddler.
