I am a 55-year-old grandma with a wealth of life experience, having worked as a dedicated paralegal for 35 years, before becoming a paralegal I was a live in nanny in London Ontario and I had my own daycare. Now retired, I am eager to shift my focus to something I am truly passionate about - spending time with children. My love for kids is undeniable, and I find immense joy in nurturing and engaging with them. I live on 3 acres fermette with my dogs, chickens, and horses where I host kids birthday parties on weekends and pony playdates for children under 5 . Growing up with three younger sisters and ten younger cousins has provided me with invaluable experience in taking care of children. Through this experience, I have learned how to nurture and be responsible for the well-being of younger individuals. Moreover, I have taken the initiative to enhance my skill set by completing a babysitting course, which equipped me with essential knowledge on how to effectively care for children in various situations. Additionally, I have also obtained a CPR certification, ensuring that I am equipped to handle any emergency situations that may arise when caring for children. Previously, I used to be involved in swimming, honing my physical capabilities and discipline. However, I have now decided to devote my time and energy into playing soccer, as it allows me to not only actively participate in a team sport but also fosters qualities such as teamwork, leadership, and perseverance. For as long as I can remember I’ve been taking care of my younger siblings/cousins. I have been babysitting and working in childcare for years. This past summer I worked at a sleep away camp and became a suto parent to about 10 kids at a time (~40 over the whole summer). I really loved it and miss working with children.
