I'm a former Software developer that has been recently laid off due to advancements in AI. I'm hopping to find a different employment path to support myself. I have close family members who work with children (CYW and ECE). Both people I can call on for advice. I enjoy spending time with my "nieces and nephews" - children of close friends - and we always have a great time. I'm patient, and a good listener. I learn through experience and enjoy learning in this way. I enjoy outdoor activities, am good with pets (of any kind), and have a creative mind. Though this is a very drastic work change, I'm confident in my experience with children and my own problem solving capabilities.

I have taken a babysitters course and I have some babysitting experience during my high school and college years. I frequently spend time with close friends' children, and have watched them for the occasional afternoon. Last summer I went on a rural calling trip with a family with four children under ten and helped the parents by occupying them, helping with meals, supervising swimming, etc.
