My name is Joyelle! I am a friendly, enthusiastic, and compassionate person who is very experienced in childcare and absolutely loves working with kids!! I am someone who is known by my family, friends, and professors to be trustworthy, reliable, honest, and dedicated. I am the oldest in my family with a younger sister and two younger brothers! I attended a French Canadian school growing up and graduated high school fluent in French. I am not a hobby person but instead I find joy in many different things! I love traveling, outdoor activities (camping, biking, hiking, kayaking...), sports, painting, reading, and I am always open to try new things. As a naturally outgoing and energetic person, I keep up with the constant energy and curiosity that kids have with ease! I enjoy playing with them, exploring, and being creative!! Every time I take care of a child or children, it is my personal goal to make sure they feel seen, heard, and cared for. Growing up, my siblings and I were very involved in sports and music, so I understand some families' busy schedules balancing work, school, and the many other activities. I have extensive experience with kids. I have nannied for a family with four kids aged 4 to 13, and a family with a 3 year old. I helped with homeschool work, played with them, took them to parks and beaches, prepared meals and snacks, and helped with light cleaning and housekeeping! Occasionally I babysat in the evenings and I often joined family outings!! For 2 months I assisted at a preschool for missionary kids in Mexico. I have worked at an overnight summer camp as a cabin leader for 4 years where I cared for campers as young as 9 years old and was a cabin leader for up to 12 girls aged 10-13. I have also worked at various church kids camps growing up. As a teenager, I completed the babysitter course in high school and have lifeguard training and experience. I am certified in Standard First Aid and CPR C (includes infant first aid and CPR). I also have experience teaching swimming lessons to children! Through camp, I have completed a course called In Safe Hands which provides training for caring for children in a work/professional setting.
