Hello, I am Emma. I am currently studying at the University of the Fraser Valley with a focus on child development and education. I absolutely love working with children—it brings me so much joy and fulfillment.
I've had the opportunity to gain valuable experience in various childcare settings, which has helped me better understand children's behaviours and needs. These experiences have been instrumental in my personal and professional growth.
Outside of my studies, I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it's hiking, camping, or simply being by a lake. Nature is a very important part of my life!
I'm also passionate about sports like baseball, rugby, and soccer. I fortunately have been given the opportunity to coach a high school girls rugby team for the two years as well.
Most importantly, I cherish the time I spend with my loved ones. My friends and family are a very significant part of my life and I enjoy being around them as much as possible.
I'm excited to bring my passion and knowledge to working with more children in the future.
For the last three years I have worked in many different areas in regards to working with children and youth. I have been a Behavioural Interventionist for the last three years working with children who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have done this job with families in their home, respite work, and in a preschool setting. My passion is child and youth care and i am currently in my fourth year of my degree at the University of the Fraser Valley. Through this program I have worked in a practicum setting of a youth space. This was focused on ages ten to eighteen. In addition to these settings, I also have volunteer hours coaching high school girls rugby.
I am Currently in the Youth and Child care program at the University of the Fraser valley, and will be graduating in the next year with a bachelors degree.
