I am a single 32-year-old male that has worked in the ABA field for nearly a decade. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UPEI, and a Master’s degree in Psychoanalytic Studies from the University of Dublin-Trinity College in Ireland. In my work as an ABA therapist, I have had a great deal of success in developing rapport with my clients. A key to building this is relating to the client as best you can, and showing them that you’re capable of supporting them in times of anxiety/crisis. Once a rapport is built, I like to try new things with the client to broaden their interests (hobbies of mine include being active, playing/watching sports, and playing guitar).

I have worked in the ABA field working with individuals with ASD for nearly a decade, and have worked with every type of client on the spectrum you can imagine. I have performed IBI with children as young as 4 with no skills, and I’ve helped adults in their 30s with their work, education, or general life skills. Through this time, I’ve worked privately as an independent contractor as well as an ABA therapist with various agencies. I’ve learned an incredible amount whilst working in this field with all the various clients, but my preference is to help teens or young adults learn life skills. Fostering independence, watching them learn to communicate more effectively, and function better within society is one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had in my life.
