Hi! My name is Jasminie . I am 25 years old and I just arrived from Guyana in mid 2023. I completed high school and obtained a nanny certificate in Guyana, which allowed me to work as a childcare provider for a family of 5. Upon my arrival in Canada, I was lucky to find a nanny position, working for a fantastic family in Ajax, Ontario. It was only a 6 month contract but it was such a great first experience for me in Canada. I hope to find a family just like the Perreira's, who can make me feel like part of their family. I love working with children, and creating fun, age-appropriate activities for them to enjoy, but also get down on the floor and get silly with them too. Children just want to be loved and feel safe, and as a nanny, my goal is to work with my families to raise respectful, loving and caring human beings. I love that over time, I also formed a bond with families I have worked with, which is very important to me. I found that when parents and child care providers can work in sync, the children are the happiest. About Me: I am a soft spoken, easy going girl. I am hard working, reliable and trustworthy. I am very approachable, especially when it comes to discussions concerning the well being of children. I love spending time with my family and friends, going for a walk, or just going out for coffee or dinner and having a good chat. I enjoy watching rom-coms, or just curling up with a good book. I appreciate the simple things in life. After the experience with Covid-19, I've learned just to take it easy and enjoy each day as it comes and to have gratitude and appreciate those around me. I have worked with children ages 3 months to 8 years old. Most of my experience is from Guyana, West Indies. I have also worked for 6 months for a family in Ajax, Ontario, caring for 2 children, ages 1 and 3. I am currently looking for a new family to work for as my current family is moving to Ottawa. My duties involved all aspects of child related tasks, from spending quality time with the children, to preparing and serving their food, as well as playing with them and engaging them in a preschool program. I also performed some household duties as requested by parents, when children were napping.
