I am a 22 year old going into my final year in college as a student nurse from Ireland over in Vancouver for the summer. Looking for part-time weekday work. I’m great with children, have patience and see myself as a friendly and a positive person. I love being outdoors and socialising. My experiences as a student nurse for the past 3 years have increased my ability to handle diverse situations with compassion and attentiveness. I have excellent communication skills which enables me to build relationships not only with the child, but their parents also. I am adaptable and have confidence in myself to provide a safe and stimulating environment for any child in my care.

I have been minding my sister who is 11 years younger than me since she was born. Frequently babysit and stay overnight for periods of time minding my three younger cousins who are aged 2, 7 and 11. Have previously babysat a 1 and a half year old for a few hours at a time in her home.

In Ireland I completed a Level 5 Pre-Nursing course which enables me to be a healthcare assistant. I will be going into my final year as a student nurse in my 4 year degree. I have work experience in hospitals and long-term elderly homes. I have also worked as a home care assistant before arriving to Vancouver. I have experiences on the children’s ward and the maternity ward. I also have many years experience of childminding.
