My name is Alma. I'm 40 years old and I live in Vancouver with my life partner. We have been together for 9 years and we have no kids. I speak Spanish, English and a little bit of French. I started a vegan life style almost 5 years ago and it has been a great change for me. I have many hobbies and I enjoy them as often as possible! hiking, dancing, yoga, musical instruments' practice, gardening, baking, painting, handcrafting, photography, etc. I like to camp and have outdoors activities more during the summer but I certainly enjoy the rest of the seasons being so different from where I come from (coast of Mexico). I consider myself a very sensitive person who admires respect, braveness, creativity and commitment. A supporter of nature care, self learning, community sense and mindfulness practice as everyday important needs to address towards acquiring a healthier way of living.

My work experience with kids comes from teaching, babysitting, tutoring and as qualified staff of a before and after school care program, so I can surely assist kids with homework and other activities in a safe, nurturing, healthy and positive way while providing fun and friendly company. Hygiene and cleanness routines and habits are also an important part of our personal health and safety so they are also part of what I address during my time with them. Music, singing, storytelling, art projects, crafts making, book reading and constant contact with nature and its elements are some of the activities I enjoy sharing with kids not only because they are fun and necessary to develop our skills but also a great approach to independence, self confidence and new skills learning and practice.
