Hello families, I am Layla! I am 20 years old and I am the oldest of three. I have been a caregiver since I could remember and have always created a nurturing atmosphere for those around me. I have been a nanny for the past four years and did my doula training a year ago now. The little girl I was supporting and looking after is now off to daycare this week and I have some open hours for a new family. I am great at supporting learning, communicating, building language skills, understanding emotions and working through them. I worked in a kindergarten class through high school and I was a line cook as well. I use many skills from theses careers that I have tried out. I enjoy bring ease to families with baking, clean house and happy rested kiddos. I specialize in newborns to age 2. But I have worked ages 0-10. I can support 2 kiddos on my own and then up to four with a guardian home. Moved to Victoria two years ago from SaltSpring island. Currently working my morning with family with one kiddo she is 2years old. On SaltSpring Island I was working with two families. One family I worked for with 2 year old boy and new born (she is now 1). I worked for them four days a week for a year. Love them to death and on good terms will be longtime friends. Worked for another family on Fridays with a 2 year old and 5 year old boys for a year and they are another family that I will continue to keep in touch with years to come!!
