I am mother of two child with 8yrs old son and 4 yrs old girl. Being parents myself I have experienced to care small kids. Recently moved here leaving my kids backed at my country, I am more experienced with regard to child caring and their up bringing. So, I feel this job is more suitable to me and I would love to take care children with respect and honesty. Though I have not been trained in this related field but being educated mother of two child, I am more experienced in taking care of children. I like to cook, show people around town and drive. I have an older dog cocker spaniel which loves to walk and take for a drive. I looked after my mom with Dementia from 2009 to 2013 after my Dad passed of cancer. I have raised 2 wonderful children on my own that are now young adults at the same time I looked after and cooked for my parents since the early 2000s. When I had a home I used to do all the gardening. I do like to shop and garden with others or on my own. I play golf on occasion and the saxophone. I also like to sing and listen to music. I looked after small children about 20 years ago for about a few years. But I raised my 2 kids on my own with the help of my parents from the time they were school age to now early 20s. I have a high school Ged, almost 2 years of the bachelor of science at Douglas College, I have taken bookkeeping and accounting certificate courses in the past and I took the pharmacy technician course 2004

I have been babysitting since I took the Red Cross Babysitting course at age twelve. I grew up with three siblings so I babysat my little brother and his friends for years. I looked after a four year old boy for two and a half years before moving to Victoria. When taking care of Lake I helped with his developmental set backs by specializing in Child-Led play; as well as outdoor activities and lots of indoor games. I also prepared meals and did light cleaning around the house. During this time I also did part time care for an 18 month old until he was three. Before coming to Lakes family I did part time childcare for a two year old until he was six. I would take Emmett to the park, play with him indoors, put him to bed and stay over night. I have had many other short term nanny jobs through out the years and have experience taking care of groups of five to ten children for the Nelson Waldorf School. I'm currently a student at UVic, studying climate science. I have lived in Victoria for the past three years but I grew up in Calgary. This summer I worked as an intern in Vancouver, before that I worked at a cafe, a grocery store, and as a camp counsellor. In my spare time I love to get outside and explore the island! For three years (2017-2019) I was a camp counsellor at an overnight summer camp. My tasks included general child care, leading educational lessons, and creating a fun and comfortable environment for campers. I have been babysitting since the age of 14, for various families with 1-3 kids. I also have 2 years of experience with tutoring primarily in math and science, but I'm also comfortable with other subjects. I have completed the Babysitting Course and Prevent It through Little Warriors. I also previously had my First Aid and CPR C certification that has since expired.
