I am a 23 year old new graduate from the University of Ottawa, having just completed my Honours BA in Communications and Commerce I am looking for work in my field, however job placements only start in the summer and I am hoping to help a family with childcare in the interim. I have plenty of experience working with children having been a camp counsellor, watersport instructor, lifeguard and regular babysitter and nanny throughout my education. I have also tutored students in a variety of subjects, having mostly focused on academic study skills for higher education. The focus on my work has been learning disabilities as I myself have both ADHD and dyslexia. I feel it's important for children with these issues to see that they absolutely can succeed, often times they simply lack the tools. Academically I have been awarded, the merit scholarship and honours dean's list in both 2021 and 2022, as well as awards in commerce and honours distinctions. Personally I am the eldest of four children and have taken an active role in raising them, helping around the house comes as a second nature. My childhood home had 4 children, 3 dogs, 1 cat, several fish and even ducks in the bathtub at times. I feel most at home in a chaotic environment with lots of energetic children. I grew up in westmount so I am familiar with the area and most others around Montreal. I have a valid drivers licence, I am happy to drive and pick up children, I am a Canadian citizen and can legally work in Canada. I was raised by a professional chef, I am more than happy to cook. My availability is whenever you need me. I am incredibly flexible and I am accustomed to the unpredictability that comes with young children, if you need me on short notice and I am available consider me there. I would rather not work overnight but I have no problem leaving late as I am a night owl by nature.
I am the eldest of 4 in my household, I have taken an active role in raising my siblings and helping around the house is a second nature. I have worked as a nanny and babysitter many times over the years throughout my years as a student.
