Providing non-medical personal support services such as bathing, grooming, toileting, medication administration, and light housekeeping duties for one adult with long-term disabilities. This job requires "170 hours per month". Formal training in the personal support field of work is required, along with a high school diploma or equivalent education.
Courses relating to personal support services for persons with disabilities, Health and Safety, First Aid, and understanding the physical, social, and emotional needs of persons with disabilities are assets.
I am willing to hire and train PSW, SSW, CSW, DSW, and HSW students.
The candidate must possess a Safe Food Handler's certificate, a Gentle Persuasive Approach certificate, and must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Other requirements include:
A strong command of both the English and French language
Flexibility to work various shifts
Clear Police Clearance (including a Vulnerable Sector Search) is mandatory
Must have their own reliable transportation, or a quarterly or monthly refillable B-card
Must provide up-to-date immunizations, skin tests, Tuberculosis test, and a drug test
The candidate may be asked to work on short notice, and must be able to respond to Lifeline calls, and must live in brantford or brant county.
