Job hours a bit flexible - housekeeping ( vacuum, sweep, use dishwasher /+- hand wash pots/pans, bathrooms, general tidying).
Laundry including folding/ putting away.
Cooking ( my mother enjoys it & can do together with assistance and supervision/guidance), meal planning, grocery list.
Assisting my mother to shower 2-3 times a week ( unsafe to be on her own). May need help with shampoo and rinse etc.
Planning clothing ( making sure clothes laid out that are weather appropriate ).
I have a brother (57) who has a disability that has always lived with my mom & supports her with driving, errands & can assist in the house with any heavy chores or anything you need. He is very easy going and my mom is very attached to him.
My husband, daughter and I live in New Westminster & I work in Surrey and Coquitlam as a physician.
My mom is fluent in English but with her Alzheimer’s has gone back to speaking Spanish a lot. She has extremely short term memory. She has always been a peaceful person and kind. Her Alzheimer’s has made her have occasional mood swings.
She has problems with frequent urination ( goes to bathroom often) and should wear Depends.
She has very mild diabetes that she takes a little medication for and needs to keep a low sugar healthy diet but does not require frequent glucose checks ( not a job requirement although would be happy to teach to do).
If some meals can be made ahead and labelled then my brother can heat and serve.
I am not sure the exact number of hours but I am thinking perhaps half time and although daytime preferred most of the time there is flexibility for which days and hours.
I speak Spanish.
