The successful candidate who we are looking to hire should be proficient in speaking English with complete fluency. This is important as he or she will be expected to communicate effectively and converse comfortably with my father. Given my father's keen love for cooking, the potential caregiver should also be open to assisting with light cooking activities. We will ensure that the hired individual will have separate accommodation provided, allowing the individual their private space and time off duty. An integral part of the prospective caregiver's role will involve caring for the dogs, which includes feeding them on a regular schedule. Moreover, the candidate is also expected to accompany my father on leisurely walks, fostering companionship and ensuring his safety at the same time. Additionally, the day-to-day responsibilities will also involve light housekeeping duties and taking care of the laundry. However, there is no need for concern about heavy-duty tasks such as rigorous cleaning or moving heavy items. We have a dedicated handyman living on the premises who is in charge of such tasks. Alongside that, we also engage cleaning ladies who visit on a weekly basis to maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the accommodation. We would also like to mention that this role does not require the caregiver to give up their entire week. We fully understand the importance of personal time and for this reason, another caregiver is specifically responsible to cover during the weekends. This will ensure ample time-off for the successful candidate, giving them a well-deserved break from the weekday responsibilities.
