She has always required assistance with daily tasks such as getting ready in the mornings, bathing and dressing, food preparation, house cleaning, as well as night care with transfers, changing etc. With the new diagnosis of dementia I’m seeking a provider who is experienced with difficult clients with behavioural and personality changes. My mother can be quite reactive and will require someone who is able to de-escalate and manage with the mood changes. This is a live-in position and the expectations will include regular house work and up-keep.
