We are looking for someone to take care of our mother (age 89) who has dementia. A reliable trustworthy female who is kind, patient and calm with experience with dementia patients is required. Someone who speaks Greek is preferred, but English speaking individuals will also be considered. She still lives in her home, and is able to get dressed and go to the bathroom on her own. She recently had surgery to replace a fractured hip, and is recovering well, however, her dementia requires her to have constant company. We, her daughters, have been giving her care 24/7 since the time she was released from the hospital. What we need from the caregiver is to provide her healthy meals and her medication 3 times a day, as well as keep her company and entertained through daily outings. Chores include preparing meals, cleaning the dishes and keeping the house clean and tidy.
