I'm looking for a responsible and committed Caregiver for an elderly female with dementia. This heartfelt role requires patience, compassion, and a genuine passion for working with senior individuals, particularly those with dementia or Alzheimer's Disease. Familiarity or experience with visual impairment care would be beneficial. A significant portion of your responsibilities will involve providing companionship and engaging in everyday activities such as meal planning/preparation, grocery shopping, and going for visits to family, friends, or neighbors. You will also accompany the lady to her medical appointments which include doctor visits and routine blood work, and will be expected to escort her to a designated adult day support center three times per week. Your responsibilities also extend to basic housekeeping duties as part of maintaining a clean, organized environment for the elderly woman. The support required spans across Monday to Saturday, ideally in the morning, middle of the day and evening. The total working hours will be between 40-50 hours per week. This could be a live-in or live-out position and could suit either a full-time or part-time arrangement. As the woman's mobility is somewhat restricted, a valid driver's license is required for this role. But worry not as the family will provide a car for use on the job, ensuring the transportation process is seamless. The commencement date for this role has been tentified for May 3rd, 2024.
