Looking for full-time care for 68 year old Indian male with frontal lobe dementia, who lives on his own in Richmond Hill. We are looking for about 10-12 hour day shifts from Monday to Sunday, with one caregiver Monday-Friday (ideally live-in initially, but can progress to live-out once he is settled / comfortable), and a separate caregiver for Saturday & Sunday. Key characteristics that we are looking for include: 1) Ability to cook / wide variety of meals (as he is picky with his food, and has dietary restrictions). Also, coordinate all groceries and food management. 2) Compassionate & friendly care, ability to be flexible / adapt to changes in client's needs, problem solving (to deal with nuances of dementia related behaviors) 3) Previous experience with dementia is a plus 4) Owns a car / ability to drive client to grocery store, stores, other outings. This is not essential, but would be a big positive. 5) Work closely with family to provide us updates on his condition, health, changes in behavior, and any issues regarding the house. Familiar with use of smart-phone (for communicating with family, uber, keeping grocery receipts, etc.) 6) General housekeeping (cleaning, laundry, etc.) 7) Good English speaking skills. 8) Fully Vaccinated 9) Take client out for an outing 1-2 times a week.
