We are in need of a compassionate and dedicated individual to help with senior care for our mom who is 76 years old. Our mother is bright, funny, and cheerful, and can light up anyone's mood. The ideal candidate would be someone who can come to love her as much as we do, taking care of her needs with as much love as us. Our mom suffers from the repercussions of a stroke, leading to paralysis on the left side, making her a total lift. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, feeding, dressing, bathing her, providing personal care, assisting with toileting, administering medications, and repositioning her as required. Regular checks and repositioning are required for overnight care. We are likely looking for two people to cover an overnight shift and short morning shift on weekdays. Overnight care will be required from 2 to 5 nights per week, depending on the schedule, and consist of weekdays and Sunday when needed. Meal preparations, light housekeeping, laundry, planning visits and trips, and pet care will be required. This/these will be part-time positions, from 15 to 48 hours per week (when needed) and will require flexibility. Ideally, you have prior experience or be willing to work with people dealing with dementia, stroke, arthritis, hearing impairments, and other similar conditions. We aim for the preferred start date to be the 26th of March, 2024. Although the position is for Live-Out, we will have continuous discussions to ensure that the chosen candidate is the best fit for our family and can provide the required care.
