A family in Scarborough is seeking a patient, caring, physically fit female support worker to assist their daughter who has special needs (both physical and developmental). The support worker will assist our daughter in her daily personal care and community activities. This young lady loves family gatherings, exercising, books, dancing, arts and crafts and bowling. The successful candidate must have a deep respect for people with disabilities and a firm belief that they are an integral part of our community. The support role includes (but is not limited to): *one to one personal care support, including toileting, manual wheelchair *life skills (gross and fine motor, communication, self help) *administering medication *proper nutrition (tube feeding) *assisting with catheterization *other duties related to her care This position requires good judgement, attention to detail around hygiene and the ability to follow exact instructions. We are seeking a candidate who is reliable and looking for a longer term commitment. Training will be provided to the successful candidate. Our daughter loves people and living in the community. She likes spending time with people who want to be in her life, who advocate for her and share her vision of living a meaningful life in the community. Hours: Tuesday-Friday, 12:00 (noon)- 8:00 pm
