I am looking for someone who is kind and compassionate and has a heart for spending some time with seniors . She is 95 and her and her 96 year old partner are in independent living in Vernon. Her partner enjoys going to play cards in the evenings but mom is feeling very nervous being alone. Chatting, sharing stories, watching tv, simply spending time with her is all we are looking for, someone consistent she can get to know. She has severe spine degeneration so mobility is getting more limited but she does manage with her walker. She is beginner to experience a bit more cognitive decline and this is exacerbated when she is alone. The schedule is to be determined on how many evenings he would like to play cards and perhaps could extend to some other help if needed from time to time. He has just given up his license. I am 1 1/2 hours away so just unable to be there for the day to day. I would love to find someone asap as he has had to pause playing for now until we can find someone. I am there on Friday to visit, if anyone could possibly respond that quickly and we arrange to meet that would be great!
