My name is Evelyn. 55 years old. is looking for a part-time job as home care. cook.. house helper. I worked as live-in caregiver for more than 4 years. with 2 old couple. I did all the household chores.. & gardening aside from caregiving. Currently, am working as a support worker with PWD. So, I got all the training on how to.. transfer.. lifting.. and repositioning. First aid. Gentle teaching.. etc.. I have been working here for almost 2 years now. Am the the type of person who's always willing to help. easy to get along with. So any interested employers who needs my help.

When I first came here to Canada I worked as live-in caregiver to a couple.. the old lady had dimentia.. & the old guy had diabetes.. My duties were: to give bath the old lady.. Prepare meal.. Assist the lady for toileting.. Dress her up. give them their meds.. check the blood sugar of the old guy.. Bring them to the doctor for their appointments.. etc. Unfortunately after 7 months the old guy passed away.. & the family decided to put the old lady to the nursing home. so I looked for a a new employer, & luckily I found an old couple & worked their for more than 4 years. My duties wer the same as I was doing with my previous employer. The only difference is that the old lady needs to be changed her depends every now & then bcoz her left body wasn't working because she had a stroke. And I used to drive them to their doctors appointments too.. And I do some gardening. baking & some other stuffs that I can do for the two couple because I love them like my own parents. But after years of working with them the lady passed away & the old guy too. So I applied for a job at nursing home & I was hired as support worker up to present.. My duties are: to support all their needs because all of the residents are in the wheelchair.. So they need to be transferred to in from the wheelchair to bed & when giving them their baths as well.. The other guy is in tube feeding.. I had all the trainings how to lift.. Transfer.. & repositioning.. Gentle teaching.. Mandt training.. How to deal with people who has intellectual disabilities.. etc. I can show you the certificates I have in me if I have a chance to be hired as part time or full time worker in the future..
