Hello, I’m a Montreal born woman, living in Park Extension, and am offering full-time caregiving and nanny services. From 2016 to 2017, I was employed as a part-time, live-out caregiver for a woman with physical disabilities and who used a wheelchair. My responsibilities included: preparing meals; feeding food; brushing teeth; using washroom and changing diaper; changing clothes; brushing hair; putting on orthotics for legs and arms; administering medication; as well as light housecleaning. I was also trained in using an electronic lift to transfer her from wheelchair to bed and vice-versa. I also have experience working with individuals with special needs. From 2006 to 2008, I was a caregiver for an autistic boy. I assisted him after school and engaged him in educational computer games, image puzzles, and stimulated his use of language using pictograms which matched words with their visual representation, and read books. I was able to take on this job due to my familiarity with special needs individuals, as I grew up with a sister with Angelman syndrome. In addition to my caregiving experience, I previously offered in-home meal prep and light housekeeping for families, preparing an array of meals based on their preferences, between 2018 to 2021. Aside from the above mentioned work experience, I am also a creative and have been doing painting, drawing and photography on the side for many years.
