This letter of recommendation is in respect to Darlene. I had the opportunity to work with Darlene as her Team Leader for 1. 5 years in 2014/2015. Darlene administered medications and performed other related medical duties to residents in an assisted living lodge in which contracts were given under the Alberta Home Care. Darlene proved to be honest and professional in her manner when dealing with all residents and completing her job duties. Darlene was a self starter and would make the residents feel comfortable in her approach. Very strong organization skills and quite knowledgeable in the health care field which she was able to bring her strength and experience to our team and was truly an asset. Darlene worked for me from July 2013 to July 2014. My son Blake is medically fragile and special needs, Darlene worked with him as his teacher and his developmental aid. She helped me with respite and personal care. She was wonderful with him and there was lot's of laughter every day. She was wonderful with us too, working with us daily to make things run smoothly. I found Darlene easy to work with, she communicates effectively and is a good listener. Darlene was always on time, happy upbeat, and genuinely loved my son. She was professional with all aspects of her job from her dress code to her manner. Darlene responsibilities included dressing, g-tube feeding and physio. She worked with him on motor skills, speech, and read to him, among many other things. I am very protective of Blake, because he is non-verbal and has serious health issues I find it difficult to trust other people with his care. Darlene quickly became one of the people I felt I could trust with Blake and felt comfortable leaving him in her care.
