I am married, mother of two grown children, and 8 grandsons. I have two spoiled greyhound dogs. I love spending time with my grandsons; playing with them at the park, doing different crafts, or snuggling on the couch. I enjoy finding different activities and crafts that the boys would love doing. We have a trailer at Ipperwash Beach, where I am on the social committee. Last year I ran the first Christmas in July, which included crafts for the kids and a special visit from Santa. I am not afraid of hard work and stay with projects until they are done. I have worked in the retail field for over 20 years and enjoy meeting people and helping anyone out anyway I can. I recently went back to school to up grade my computer skills so I can help my grandsons with there homework. Basically I am not afraid of hardwork and willing to pitch in anyway I can.

I had older parents that had Parkinson and Dementia disease. I have had experience dealing with them from bringing them to appointments, planning meals, preparing the house so they can get around easier to just spending time with them. My mother-in-law has Alzheimer's disease, which I have seen all stages of this disease. I assisted my in-laws with preparing meals, taking her out for walks, helping caring for her and just spending time with them. Recently my son has had Shingles which I had to put cream on his outbreak 3 times a day. This disease can hit anyone at any age. I am use to being around older people and enjoy there experience and conversations of their past experiences. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: I also has helped my sister in law the had a stroke at age 36 years old. During the years I have helped her with meal preparation, taking her out on day trip and just spending time with her. There has been several different level of function ability that she was able to due and needed help with.
