I am Filipino National been in Canada for 3 years studied a course in Training for Live in Caregiver. Experienced Live-in for two years and currently on a temp job.. certified cpr and first aid and hopefully study in the field of Health Care Aid.. in the future. I am a very compassionate and patient person and willing to do things for people as long as it does involve any risks and jeopardize my stay here in Canada. I am Carmela a Filipina National. I have been trained in Training for Live-in Caregiver since 2014 here in Edmonton for a period of 6 months. The training involves communication, preparation of nutrious food and first aid and emergency procedures. I have been a volunteer in Lynwood Capital Care for this period of 6 months where I was assigned to assist the Physio-Therapists in the area of mobility and exercise. I assisted in walking them, putting them on stationary bikes, passing the medicine ball to them, dancing and bringing them outside for a stroll in the park. Sometimes reading them books. The patients had were different cases sometimes I assisted with people with disabilities, sometimes ALzeimers or just old age. I would intend to provide care for the elderly by assisting them as companion, driving for them to shop for grocery, cooking for them if they are able, clean their homes, bathe them, transfer them if necessary.
