I am a University graduate in Philippines and was teaching in school for quiet sometime, and became a full time tutor in a tutorial center for 9 years. I am living in Canada for almost 4 yrs now. From a simple caregiver back 2015 - 2018, I upgraded myself by finishing the PSW course. So, to my prospective employer, I am passionate person, caring, initiative, with patience enough to understand our elderly, their situations or conditions. I hope you will give me a chance to prove it to you. My heart is calling for this desire to help more than anybody else but the growing numbers of our elderly. I love listening to others stories, any conversation. I’m not an excellent cook but I love cooking. I do always make myself busy especially organizing things. I have experienced with a client who has CHF. I worked with her for companionship, light housekeeping, assisted with her medications in the latter administered as she wasn’t able to do anymore. Delegated and Administered her oxygen. I assisted her when she was still able and independent with the ADL’s (Assisted Daily Livings) such as walking with the cane, bathing, grooming and dressing, oral and nail hygiene, perineal care, and meal preparations. Caring adults/elderly needs a lot of patience, love and compassion. I always put in my mind their safety and reassuring security about their privacy, respect their dignity and preferences.
