I am Aziza, 25 y/o, Filipino. More than 4 years in Canada and I am a PR. I graduated health care aide course in Alberta and did HCA Upgrade here in BC because of provincial differences with Healthcare. I am currently working as an HCA in a facility. So basically I can do HCA job and also do childcare/baby sitting. I started taking care of babies when I was in prep so I am very comfortable with babies/kids. Some has dementia -Interpreting and executing care plan as instructed. -Safely operated a variety of mechanical lifts to transfer residents using the correct procedure. -Assured well-being of the residents (ADLs); grooming, feeding and bathing. -Assured comfort and safety of residents. -Reported any abnormal behaviors and observations to the nurse in-charge. -Documented records on daily tracking sheets. -Catheter care. (Emptying bag, clean and measuring the urine) -Compassionately spent time with the residents to socialize and do some activities such as playing bingo, coloring and reading books with them.
