Hello dear Family, My name is Rafael and I am now looking for a full-time position in Edmonton as a caregiver for children. I am looking for a live-out position and require sponsorship under the In-home Caregiver program. I can start the position beginning of July and would like to stay with you for at least two years, possibly longer. I am a committed and reliable worker and love continually learning new skills in my work with children. I am currently attending the Training for In-home Caregivers, where I am learning about Childcare, Nutrition, Cooking, Communication & First Aid/CPR. In addition to this theoretical training, I volunteer once a week in a Day Care in Edmonton (Kinder House); I play with the children, ensure their health and safety, encourage self-care habits, and teach conflict resolution skills. Since my arrival in Canada (1/2017) I have been baby-sitting my nephew (6 yrs) and niece (3 yrs) on a regular basis. I play different sports with them (soccer, tennis, tennis, etc. ), teach them Arts and Crafts or we play imaginary games. In Colombia I was a Systems Engineer, but I have been enjoying my work as a caregiver for children. I believe that the theoretical training I received at TLC Edmonton combined with my practical experience prepared me for the challenging work as a caregiver in Canada. Hello dear Family, My name is Rafael and I am now looking for a caregiver position with a senior or individual with disabilities in Edmonton. I am looking for a long-term and full-time position, starting around July. I am a committed & highly responsible worker and love continually learning new skills in my work with people. I am currently attending the Training for In-home Caregivers, where I am learning about Care for the Elderlies, Disabilities, Nutrition, Cooking, Communication & First Aid/CPR. In addition to this theoretical training, I volunteer three times a week in a senior centre in Edmonton (Capital Care Lynwood), providing care and companionship for individuals with dementia. Before I came to Canada I was a full-time caregiver for my grandmother for 5 years. I provided companionship, helped to treat her arthritis and diabetes, and supported her with daily chores, such as cooking, cleaning, and running errands. In Colombia I was a Systems Engineer, but have been enjoying my work as a caregiver for individuals with special needs. I believe that the theoretical training I received combined with my extensive experience prepared me well for the work as a caregiver in Canada.
