I have been working with the elderly in various capacities for the last 10 years, and nothing is more rewarding to me than making a difference in their lives. Getting older and needing assistance is something hard to deal with, and my approach is with using a lot of compassion, kindness and gentleness, caring, listening and being a friend in their daily life. Smiling and laughing and lots of positivity can make all the difference to someone and I always try to make sure they have a lot to smile about by the time I leave for the day. I also feel it’s very important to incorporate outdoor activities as much as possible, when and if possible, for mental and physical well being.
Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or would like to know more. I have excellent references from my previous care families and would be happy to hear from you.
