My name is Jaylynn, however I go by Jay. I have my HCA certificate and first aide level C, I recently graduated from college in 2017 from the health care aide course. I love caring for people, as it’s been a great part of my life as a job and something I just enjoy doing. I have two loving, funny dogs their names are Jacks and Konah, & recently just got married to my best friend. I’m not originally from Alberta, I’m from a small town in Ontario; where all my family lives still other then my parents and brother. I have grown up in Alberta and love it. I enjoy what Alberta has to offer as far as activities and sceneries. the mountains.. wow. In my health care aide career so far it’s taught me patience, creativity, problem solving and I’m always finding myself learning something new. I am very passionate about my job. In my past I used to babysit quite often and I’m looking to get back into taking care of children because it’s something I’ve really enjoyed. I have my health care aide certificate and have been working in nursing homes now for over 2 years. I love my job, I love working with the elderly. My job has taught me a lot of the past couple of years, I’m continuously learning new things. Dementia care is something I thrive in, however all care I enjoy doing. Something I’ve also done within the year is private care, for the elderly still living in home; preparing meals, showers, dressing assist, morning care and just being a companion.
