I am a Mature Personal Support Worker. I have two grown children and three grandchildren. When my children were young I ran a home based daycare business that lasted over 20 years, at this point my father came to live with us when he could not longer be in his own home because of Dementia. My husband and I cared for my Father for 5 years. He loved to be involved with the children. When my Dad passed I decided to go back to school to become a P. S. W. this was the best decision of my life. I have worked in Long Term Care for the past 4 years and I truly love it. I have decided that at this point I would like to help the seniors that are in there homes. Wether they live alone or are living with family I would like to help give them a good experience while giving the caregiver a break. .

I cared for my father in my home for five years. He suffered with Dementia and passed away peacefully surrounded by family in his own bed. Following my Dads passing I went back to school to become a P. S. W. This was one of the best decisions of my life. I truly love caring for seniors. I have worked in Long Term Care for the past 5 years. I work on the secure unit. I am often assigned to care for the residents that need a little more help and require one to one care.
