I am a very dedicate person to my work, job and duties. I love to help others and assist them on their daily routine. Nothing makes me happier than to put a smile on peoples face. I am reliable, organized, responsible and a very clean person. I have been working as a caregiver for just over 10 years. I have nursing assistant back ground. I used to be a nurse 14 years ago when I moved to Canada, but unfortunately I wasnt able to perform my profession here because I did not speak English so I opened up my own cleaning company and started cleaning houses and working as a caregiver as well. I developed such passion for helping others and taking care of their homes I never felt the desire to go back to nursing at hospitals. I moved to Toronto 3 years ago from Alberta. I was responsible for care of my mom during her last 10 years before she passed away 6 years ago and I knew exactly what we were looking for when we would interview candidates, we were looking for someone to take care of our most precious person in our family and the best thing we have in this lifetime, our mom. I have taken care of elderly diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, dementia, bedridden as well as disabled seniors. I enjoy to having a routine and I love when I can help the other people by making their lives easier for them either with their house chores or day to day activities And that is why I have been working as a caregiver. After I worked with cleaning for 10 years and has a lot seniors for client, I realize I very satisfied when I take care for this kind of client and decide looking for more client that need attention and care that I read for give to them. That way I start a caregiver job in my life. And I very happy after because I realized it’s exactly what I did for my mother when she has a dementia for 10 years. Some of them I was able to combine within my housekeeping schedule. I would check up on them in the morning before I went to work, I would bring food and give them their medicine. I would write a journal about how they were feeling etc. I would Buy groceries and drive them to their appointments when is necessary. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: Assistant nurse diploma.
