I work closely with young adults with special needs, elderly, people with mental health/cognitive needs and physical disabilities. My services include home support which can involve getting groceries, personal care, assisting with daily needs, respite for families, light cooking/meal prep, light cleaning such as laundry and duties that a care aide assists with. I also offer services for individuals with special needs such as autism, cerebral palsy, and developmental delays. I support these individuals out in the community to participate in various recreational activities, accompanying them to appointments, helping run errands, or whatever their needs may be in my field In most situations, I work closely with clients families to implement a plan to help set out long/short term goals, building life skills, creating a fun environment that is purposeful- while maintain a professional/friendly relationship. I am familiar with families striving to provide the best quality life for their loved ones. I also understand how family members experience burn out and need a break for themselves. I take pride in treating everyone with dignity, respect and being present/and fully engaged with each client. Respite could involve me watching over clients safety, engaging with them at their home and providing companionship and care. I understand the need to adapt with everyone's unique needs and routine. I also work directly with clients, not just their families, My education/certification includes, Bachelor's of nursing ( it is still continue) registered care aide, behavioral training and courses completed, first aid, CPR, food safe. Outstanding references provided upon request. $20 -22.. Willing to work in Vancouver, coquitlam, maple ridge, and surrounding areas within reasonable distance. Covid precautions will be treated seriously. I will have a mask on at all times, hand hygiene performed and I encourage the same routines with each client involved to the best of their ability.
