I worked at Chateau Royal, a residence for the elderly. I was in administration but also replaced employees in different departments(reception, kitchen, activities and house cleaning), whatever had to be done to ensure their well being and happiness. Suffering of dementia, my duties were the following. Serving and helping with meals (supper and breakfast) aided with dressing and undressing, incontinence ,she also was visually impaired so basically making sure she was comfortable and safe. But mostly I provided companionship, care and love to a beautiful lady. Sadly she required more help than we could provide her and had to be placed.
