I am a quiet, middle-aged woman who loves the company of the elderly. I enjoy time spent going for walks, practising yoga, cooking and baking, and learning about local history and I will share this peaceful and simple lifestyle with my clients. I look forward to being with people from any culture or religion and family and friends are most important to me. My goal is to create an atmosphere of joy and grace. I am willing to relocate or commute anywhere within Metro Vancouver.

I was my elderly mother's caregiver for the eleven months and her regular companion for six more months; my mother has moderate dementia. I used my training and experience as a holistic nutritionist (R. H. N. ) to improve my mother's diet and her health. Sharing some duties with a private home care company allowed my mother to receive the best in-home care possible as we could share ideas, concerns, and advice regarding my mother and her home. It was an excellent year. I will work into the early afternoon as I tutor in the late afternoon and evening. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: I am comfortable working with people of any age or background. I am also comfortable with people of any faith.

My references
Recommended by Ginger H.
Ginger Helkenberg has been an employee at the Smithers' long-term care facility, the Bulkley Lodge, for more than twenty years and works exclusively with the residents with dementia, including my mother. Since my mother's admission to the Lodge in August, 2019, Ginger has seen me interact as much as possible with her and also with many of the other residents in the facility.
Recommended by Trina J.
Trina Jarvis is employed with Wellspring Home and Community Care in Smithers, BC and was one of my mother's caregivers from 2017 until 2019. Trina and I worked together for about a year to provide the best in-home care for my mother, exchanging suggestions and concerns; this was during the year I managed my mother's household and expenses.
