I am currently making a big career change from the corporate world I was in for 15 years. I have a strong desire to help those in need and be of service where I can. I was my husband's primary caregiver when he was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. He passed away 2 years later, so I found myself a widow at 34 years of age. Since this experience I have found that I no longer find enjoyment working in the corporate world.
I understand what others are going through now and see the benefit to friendly and outgoing care aids and caregivers. I have a passion for companionship and have been doing this with a couple of my own clients since then. Enriching the lives of others is my goal. I love animals and have no issues working with pets. I love to cook (I am a trained cook). I enjoy walking, talking, and connecting. I also love entertainment ie. TV, movies, live theatre, comedy shows and other social events. I have a great sense of humor and can get along with individuals of all ages. I am independant and have my own car.
I was my husband's primary caregiver when he was battling cancer and was not very mobile.
I also have a private client whom I am a companion to that I visit once a week.
