Do you need a compassionate, mature lady to assist your parent(s) so that they can remain in their own home for longer? I'm available to be that person while doing all household maintenance tasks, getting groceries/prescriptions, light cooking, pet care. NON-SMOKING ONLY (allergy) I am known as a happy and positive, ambitious lady, clean & quiet, very kind and considerate of others. I have a strong sense of family and devotion to their well-being and safety. I was raised on a farm, so I learned responsibility at an early age. Now being a mature lady in my 70's, I can relate to the needs and the feelings of the elderly. My aim is to help encourage and involve my client(s) so they have fun and feel empowered doing the things they love. I can encourage mild exercise to promote circulation, balance and strengthening, even if it is a slow walk or some dancing, if that's what they enjoy. My hobbies include all forms of art including rock painting, cooking, sewing, photography, jigsaw & crossword puzzles, table top games, computer, cell phone, gardening. and soft background music. I love pets - especially dogs and their care. I'm an excellent driver and had only one minor accident in over 50 years. Thank-you for your time and consideration. Let's meet and see if it's a good fit. I can assure you that I am honest, ambitious, reliable, will always do my best and that your loved one will look forward to my visits.

With my help, my mother was able to stay on the farm and not be placed in a home (which she feared after watching her mother mentally deteriorate in a care facility) so she got her last wish and passed at an advanced age in her own home. I also assisted an elderly friend with housework while recovering from a fall. With one organization I assisted a lady with broken pelvis and elbow with all her household duties, cleaning, cooking & laundry. I have more than ten years of experience with diabetes and blood glucose monitoring on myself. As a volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross Medical Equipment Loans Service, I became familiar with the disassembly, sanitizing, and reassembly of medical equipment as well of adjusting to fit those taking pieces out on loan after injury or surgery. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: St. John Ambulance First Aid/CPR/AED Industrial Level 1 and Foodsafe certified, WHMIS, also have RCMP criminal records check for vulnerable sector - clean drivers abstract, flu shot, 4 Covid boosters & TB test.
