Good Day. I am 38, married and live in Oakville ON. I was born and raised in Buffalo NY and graduated Buffalo State College with a BS degree in Education. I was a daycare and nanny caregiver for many years (over 15 years). I also have worked in nursing homes and assisted Alzheimer's patients. I was a companion to an elderly gentleman in a long-term care facility. He had dementia. I love being an Elderly companion. I also have taken some Elderly clients to the hospital (assisted with walking and preparing lunch after check-up appointments). It is a pleasure to spend time with the Elderly. Staying healthy and fit is important to me, especially taking scenic walks. I play in a band ( keyboard/piano) at my church every Sunday morning and for many special occasions. I worked as a caterer as well and love to cook and prepare meals. I love making homemade desserts and holiday baking. Doing homemade art work/mosaic crafts is something I enjoy doing as well.

As a young adult I helped many elderly at my church as a companion (doing crafts, preparing meals, walks/exercise, diet meal planning). I was a companion to an elderly gentleman in a long-term care facility. He had dementia and because of this he was aggressive at times. I learned a lot about his condition, and with patience and tender care, it was a pleasure to be his companion. I assisted him with eating, his wheelchair as he wasn't able to walk. Many times he wasn't able to speak, just was able to say a few words. I love being an Elderly companion.
