I am a 18 year old student currently enrolled in the LPN program at Norquest. I love helping people and bringing a smile onto their faces. I have been working at the Youville Home in St. Albert but recently hours have been cut short due to unionized working. I also used to be a senior companion. Unfortunately that ended back in August when she passed away. I try my best in everything that I do. Some of my hobbies include going for walks, playing card games, watching movies, and my favourite of all is playing ringette. The reason why I enjoy what I do is because I love making a difference in people’s lives.

I have now been working at the Youville Home in St. Albert for the past two years and I love it there. I am almost done my first year at college and I need more work hours and right now the Youville Home can't offer me more due to unionized work. My favorite part about working with the elderly is creating friendships and relationships. From October 2019 till August 2020 I was a companion for an elderly woman. I would go see her as often as I could. But then covid came along. While working at the Youville home and visiting her at another home I really noticed how covid impacted the residents. Therefore every day I wasn't able to see her I would make time to give her a phone call. Unfortunately she was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and passed away. Right now I am currently enrolled in the LPN course at NorQuest for September 2021. I don't have much experience with toileting, lifts, and bed baths. I am more than comfortable doing housework, cooking, administering scheduled medication, or even take them out for an outing. Additional Experiences/Qualifications:
