I am a PSW going into nursing. A little background information about me. I got into this field as two of my great grandmothers were treated poorly by the nursing home they lived at. I have a strong passion for caring for the elderly and I just wanted to make a difference in there lives.
I have obtained my PSW certificate and I have experience working in a nursing home.
I’m looking to help assist elderly mainly as I have most experience working with the elderly.
Changing, feeding, assisting with repositioning, showering, helping assist elderly with there ADLS
Are all things I have done while working at the nursing home
I have my cpr and police check as well.
I’m looking for something full time

Gained First hand experience as a PSW at Woodbridge Vista. Dressed, Changed, Bathed and Fed the Elderly in the Dementia Unit ( Floor 3b). Assisted in using the Hoyer, Stand and sit and ceiling lift. Laundry and bed making, snack trolly and assisted in helping with fall risk residents. Provided Oral care and Bathing in the shower room. Repositioned residents who are bed ridden. Encouraging residents to join into group activities. Reporting residents ADLs on POC.
