I am a paramedic who has moved from a remote area to the city to be closer to my aging mother who will be living with me once our home renovations are complete. I also have two service dogs who are about 10 pounds each and are hypoallergenic. They are a great teaching tool for kids learning about respect, compassion, trust, etc. So I imagine the ideal scenario to involve a multi generational care environment with different stimuli. In our building we have a private playground on 8000 sq ft, and also a private yard that are both inaccessible to the public. We have endless art supplies and I do a lot of painting; on rocks, paper, canvas etc. My preference is to have the flexibility to be in either resident as sometimes familiarity is best suited tor your child and other times a change is best. Together, we can come up with the best care plan for your child/children. I am very communicative and will never leave you wondering about progress, changes, challenges, etc. I am a careful eater, and have the ability to adapt to and dietary needs. I follow an AIP diet, and my mom avoids gluten and dairy, but I can cook anything that suits your family. I am very healthy and havent had so much as a sniffle in decades. I stay active and prefer to be outdoors when possible. I checked off ‘good swimmer’ in this profile. I am not a stylish swimmer doing laps in a pool, but I surf, and race kayaks, and do competitive kiteboarding etc, and in our remote community, we do rescues on the lakes for float plane crashes, and I have done a fair amount of commercial fishing, so I am comfortable in any water related situation. Life is beautiful, and I am looking forward to speaking with you.

My mother has become less independent with some cognitive decline. She has lived with me and will do so again once home renovations are complete. I have a lot experience with ambulation assistance, dressing and grooming assistance, range of motion exercise, resistance exercise, meal prep, meal service, patient positioning and everything that comes with limited mobility. Because of the nature of her cognitive decline, A lot of my focus with her is based on providing stimulation and exercise of both mind and body. At work, I have limited experience with catheter care and a lot of experience with lifting. Trsnsfer etc
