I’m Arlyn, 36 years old. I have been a caregiver ever since I became an adult. Growing up in the Philippines, I used to take care kids in my neighbourhood and also my relatives kids. My first out of the country job was in Leabanon. Me and my sister worked under one family there, I took care of a sick old lady for 2. 5years until she passed away. My next job was in Singapore, I took care children ages 8months, 2years old and 5years old. I stayed with this family for 5 years then I moved to Hongkong also as a childcare provider for 4years. I worked with a chinese family as caregiver for 2 kids ages 3years old and 9years old, and 2dogs, my employer then trusted me to take the kids to school and to their extra activities by bus or train or tram, sometimes we just walk. They even go travel out of the country for more than a month leaving me alone with the children and pets. I am willing to work for 1-2years with you. As a child I started housekeeping in my own home helping my mother cleaning and tidying up our own house. And as an adult I went out of Philippines to work as a domestic helper in Lebanon, though my main job was to take care an old lady, I am also responsible in housekeeping because I lived in with my boss and I am responsible to clean and tidy up the house especially when she has guests. My boss passed away after 2. 5years and so I moved to Singapore also as a domestic helper, I took care children but I am also required to do the houdehold chores. I worked there for 5years. Then I moved to Hongkong also with a chinese family I worked as nanny took care children and keep the house clean and tidy. I did that for 4. 5years. I moved here in Canada last year December 2017, and my first job was in Alberta. My boss has a farm, fishing lodge, and an 11yrs old girl that time. My main job was to care for her but sometimes my boss also ask me to help at fishing lodge as house keeper and also feed canal dogs, chicken, lamb in the farm. I did that for 1 yr in Alberta then I moved to Vancouver. Currently I am working as a caregiver to an autistic child since June 2019. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: Here in Canada last summer my boss also asked my help to go be a housekeeper in his fishing lodge and I did it for 2months.
