I am a fun loving person, easy to get along with, honest and sincere. I enjoy the company of children and older adults. I believe that we can learn a lot from them. I am very compassionate, therefore I believe in giving compassionate care. I am a certified Personal Support Worker. I completed my PSW program on June 14th, 2019. I worked as a Health Records Clerk for four years at the Lionel Town Hospital outpatient department. There I booked appointments, registered clients to see the doctors, file and retrieve clients information and many more duties. This was a job I enjoyed very much because it gave me the opportunity to do one and one with patients. I attended the Northern Carribbean University where I studied Dietetics. I am skilled in meal preparation, proper sanitization, meal management, nutrition coaching and knowledge of nutrition of the the lifecycle. I have the ability to do sign language and have experience in caring for physically challenge individuals. In my spare time I enjoy doing volunteer work in outreach programs to help the needy, reading and writing poems. I also enjoy helping children with their home work and assisting the elderly. I have five siblings of whom I am the oldest. My younger brother was born with autism and I cared for him. We were very close. I was the only one in the family he would open up to. I have very close relationship with children in my community and also with my friends children, many of whom I volunteer to babysit. I have been married for eleven years. My husband and I are very close. He's my best friend. My drive and passion is to provide better health care for people. This is my reason for furthering my studies which will better enable me to provide quality care at a professional level. My short term goal is to find a job in which I can provide compassionate care.

Working in this area was interesting. My dad owned his own cleaning company and I worked with him for many years. It taught me discipline and how to pay attention to details. I did supervising and inspections as well as cleaning for my dad's company in Jamaica.
