I have been married to my sweetheart for 42 years. We met as children as we grew up 3 doors from each other. We have three children and six grandchildren ranging from 10 - 19 years old. My husband is a pastor, with a big heart for people. While raising my kids, I homeschooled until grade six. During that time I started Evergreen Wheatgrass Juice, which I ran for 30 years, producing outdoor, fresh frozen, organic wheatgrass juice that was sold all over North America. After being diagnosed with Non Hodgkins 24 years ago, I refused the surgery and chemo, and looked for natural alternative ways to heal my body. In the process, I became a Certified Natural Health Professional, running Streams Health and Wholeness Centre in Thornhill Square Mall, for ten years. We helped people by focusing on nutrition, detoxification and spiritual roots to sickness. Often when we found the emotional root, the physical symptoms they were dealing with would disappear. I still give lectures on health and nutrition. I love to paint, and my goal is to do an art show for the blind as my pictures are tactile. You can feel the bark on the trees or the sand in the path. One of my paintings even made it to the Unionville Art Gallery. Cooking is something I enjoy doing, and a way to bless people, especially if they are going through a hard time or sick. Bone Broth is my speciality and I believe mine is the best available as I use Mennonite chickens and chicken feet, along with lots of vegetables for rich broth flavour. I have a joyful and peaceful countenance, and when I can bless someone, it is very rewarding.
